The Coast of Carolina Parrothead Club is a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organization whose members share a love for the tropical spirit of Jimmy Buffett’s music and writings. Located in beautiful Myrtle Beach, SC and serving the Coast of Carolina from Little River to Georgetown, we are proud to be affiliated with the national organization, Parrot Heads in Paradise, Inc. – https://phip.com At last count, our membership included over 360 fun-loving, hard-working Parrot Heads. The Coast of Carolina Parrothead Club will engage in activities that are charitable, educational and promote the general welfare of the community.

Our philosophy is reflected in the club’s motto: “Party with a Purpose”. We schedule socials every month in which our members enjoy music and comradery. In addition to having fun and making new friends, we are driven by a strong commitment toward giving back to our community and the environment through volunteer efforts and charitable fund-raising. Over the past 30 years, our annual fundraisers have allowed us to donate over $800,000 to local charities. In 2004 and 2025, the Coast of Carolina Parrot Head Club was awarded the Golden Coconut award, presented annually by Parrot Heads in Paradise, Inc. Margaritaville to a local chapter for exceptional community service.

We raise funds for charities by having 50/50 drawings at our socials, conducting a golf cart run. Our main fundraising event is the Throw Back Shell Beach Party at the North Shore Hotel. It is three days of Jimmy Buffett and Trop Rock music bands from all over the country. This well attended event supports our auctions and raffles.

We participate in the SCOT Adopt a Highway and clean Atlantic Avenue in Horry County four times a year. We also partner with Sundown to do an Angel Tree in which our members and others buy Christmas gifts for the children of Fostering Hope. We collect paper goods from our members during socials for New Directions, Helping Hands and Seahaven.
