Welcome to the Coast of Carolina Parrot Head Club Newsroom

 

The Coast of Carolina Parrot Head Club will hold it’s Board Meetings every third Tuesday of the month at the Lakes Clubhouse. We will try to begin at 6 pm. Quite a bit was accomplished during the last meeting. Please feel free to contact any of the officers if you have some news or suggestions. Your input is appreciated.

 

 

August Social Hour-We had a great turnout for this event held at the Boathouse Waterway Bar & Grill located in Myrtle Beach. Entertainment was provided by KD Moore who has played with many folks in Parrot Head land including Fingers Taylor and Mac MacAnally. Two hours into the show the skies opened up and forced a hasty retreat under cover. With high spirits and laughter many huddled together waiting out the downpour. Click here for pictures.

June 19, at the River Oaks Golf Course. It was hot and we had a great turnout.  22 teams, 23 eager volunteers and the golf course could not have been nicer to us.  We raised over $2000 for charity.  Thanks to everyone who made it possible and helped out.

No sails on this ship mates. This was a great lunch cruise that we participated in and a much needed respite from the hot days of summer along the Grand Strand. Phun time!

Some of us ventured to the capital city of Columbia and supported our neighbors to the west with their fund raising. Loads of fun was had by all!

Something we’ve done twice and have been able to raise nearly $1000 each time.  Thanks to the Best’s for allowing us to use their home and yard for the event.  Thanks to all who donated and volunteered.  This time we raised $972, had some excellent burgers thanks to Ronnie and a good time.  What was left we gave away to local charities including books (thanks Anna).
